Radial artery intervention is a procedure that accesses the arteries in the wrist to perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, such as angiograms or stent placements. This approach has gained popularity as a safe, effective, and minimally invasive alternative to the traditional femoral artery approach (accessed from the groin). Radial artery intervention offers several advantages, particularly in terms of patient comfort and recovery time.

Stenting and bypass surgery are two critical procedures used in the management of coronary artery disease. Bypass surgery involves diversion of blood flow from the coronary arteries because they are blocked. Stenting instead involves the placing of a small tube that keeps the artery open. This also replaces bypass surgery since there are many cases where patients would still require a much shorter period to recover and, more importantly, less complications may occur with stenting.

Whole body angiography offers an advanced imaging technique with a total view of the body's blood vessels. The non-invasive procedure does ensure patients' inspection for blockages, aneurysms, and other vascular issues to undertake early interventions. It is highly advantageous in examining risk individuals for cardiovascular diseases and those with systemic vascular conditions.

Artist's Interpretation
Title of Painting: THE OPTIMISTLife is beautiful yet unpredictable so as this piece of art. I have worked on this painting as an immediate family more than as an artist. This painting is a token of appreciation to show gratitude and thankfulness to DR. SHAHID A. MERCHANT an Interventional Cardiologist. Within the space of a square frame, I've created something that is not only connected to the physical body but also to our soul. The dripping texture of white oil colour in the background of painting disrupts the acrylic grey beneath to signify the happiness after episodes of distress. The flower in pot represents the Aorta. The golden and crimson colour of the leaves inspired from nature and the forms found in the heart.
Enhancing Precision & Patient Safety
Heart failure (HF) is a leading cause of hospital readmissions and mortality worldwide. Traditional monitoring methods often fail to detect early signs of deterioration, leading to frequent emergency visits and hospital stays. However with Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM) powered by Internet of Things (IoT) devices, healthcare providers can continuously track vital signs and intervene early, significantly reducing hospital readmissions and improving survival rates.
